Estratificación y presiones de selección en el rendimiento de la variedad de haba INIAP-440-Quitumbe

Abstract

La investigación se desarrolló en la Estación Experimental Sta. Catalina del INIAP, ubicada a 0°22' de Latitud Sur y 28°3' de Longitud Oeste, a 3 050 m s.n.m.; basada en el método de Selección Masal Estratificada con Presiones de Selección, comprendiendo un segundo y tercer ciclos, partiendo con la semilla del Compuesto Experimental I, obtenida de un primer ciclo de selección (1992-1993) en el que practicó el método el Programa de Leguminosas de la Estación. Según la presión de selección se escogió un número de individuos ideales para formar con su semilla cada nuevo ciclo de selección, que comprendió dos ensayos paralelos en bloques completos al azar, uno masal estratificado, y otro de presiones de selección como tratamientos y con repeticiones. A los rendimientos obtenidos en los masales se les practicó un ajuste con la fórmula de Molina (1978), que elimina en gran parte la interacción genotipo por ambiente. Luego del ajuste se seleccionaron solamente las plantas que superaron el promedio general.

The research was carried out in the INIAP-Santa Catalina Experimental Station, located at 0°22' South Latitude and 2 8 °3' Longitude West, at 3 050 m height. The research vvasa performed on the bases of the Bulk Strati filled Selection method with Selection Pressures, embracing a second and third periods, starting with seeds of the Experimental Compound Number I, obtained in the first period of selection (1992-1993) on which the Legumes Program of the Station was practiced the method. According to the pressure of selection, ideal individuals1 number was chosen in order to form each new cycle of selection, that embraced two parallel researchs in a randomized complete blocks design, one stratified bulk, and another of selection pressures as treatments with replications. To the yield obtained in the bulks, it was practiced an adjustment with Molina's formula (1978), wich largely eliminate the interaction genotipe by environment. After the adjustment the plants were selected only those that overcame the general average.
