Control de las plagas del choclo helicoveroa sp, (lepidoptera: noctuidae) y euxesta eluta , (diptera: o tittidae) mediante aplicaciones localizadas de insecticida en los estigmas, Uyumbicho – Pichincha

Abstract

La mariposa del choclo Helicoverpa sp, y la mosca del choclo Buxesta eluta , constituyen problemas entomológicos en las zonas productoras de maíz suave en la Sierra Ecuatoriana; causando pérdidas en la producción, al devorar los granos y a su vez permitir el ingreso de insectos saprofitos y el agua de lluvia, incrementándose el porcentaje de grano no aprovechable. El presente estudio se realizó en la Sección Oriental de la Estación Experimental "Santa Catalina" del INIAP. La investigación consta de ocho tratamientos y un testigo absoluto, con la finalidad de evaluar la bondad de los tratamientos en el control del da.o causado por las plagas citadas.
