Estudio de adaptación de veinte variedades de cebada maltera (Hordeum distichum L. y Hordeum vulgare L.) en nueve localidades de la zona del Ecuador

Abstract

El presente trabajo fue realizado -con la finalidad de estimar la magnitud de la interacción Genotipo-medioambiente, en variedades de cebada y considerar la significancia de estas interacciones en procedimientos de evaluación. Además se estimaron los parámetros de estabilidad, con el fin de medir el grado de adaptación de dichas variedades., en diferentes m e dio ambientes . Con este objeto se tomo los datos de rendimiento de 20 variedades de cebada de los ensayos regionales, llevados a cabo por el Programa de Cerales, Sección Cebada, dentro del Convenio establecido entre el Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (MAG) y las empresas ''Compañía. Ecuatoriana de Maltas y Cervezas" y "Andina7', para el mejoramiento de cebada con fines de uso industrial.

This work has been made with the purpose of judging the magnitude of the interaction Genotype-Environment in varieties of barley and of pondering the significance of these interactions in rating procedures. The parameters of stability were estimated, besides, so as to measure the degree of adaptation of those varieties, in different environments. With this object, the data of yield of 20 varieties of barley were taken from the regional experiments carried out by the Cereal Program, Barley Sección, within the Convention established among the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (MAG) and the firms "Compañía Ecuatoriana de Maltas y Cervezas" and "Andina” , for the improvement of barley in order to use it in industry.
