Abstract
El presente estudio se realizó en el Programa de Ganadería de la Leche y Pastos de la Estación Experimental Santa Catalina del Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Agropecuarias INIAP, el cual se encuentra localizado a 3050 m.s.n.m., con una longitud de 78°33” W y una latitud de 00°22” S., en la Provincia de Pichincha, Cantón Mejía, Parroquia Cutuglagua, con una temperatura promedio de 11°C y 1250 m.m. de precipitación anual.
The study reported herein was conducted in the Dairy and Pasture Program, Santa Catalina Experiment Station of INIAP. The Station is located at 3050 meters ahove sea level, 78°33" W longitude in the Province of Pichincha, Cantón Mejía, Parroquia Cutuglagua, with an anerage temperature of 11°C and anual pricipitation of 1250 m.m. The principie objetives of the study were : To determine the effedt of levels of nitrogen and sulfur on the Botanical composition, yield of dry matter and guality of the forage.
