Abstract
El Carmen. Este es el primer informe de la ocurrencia de la solanacearum R. en la zona costera de Ecuador en este cultivo. Se requieren nuevos trabajos para la categorización más refinado del patógeno en términos de perfil bioquímico o secuencia de nucleótidos.
El Carmen. This is the first report of the occurrence of the R. solanacearum in the coastal area of Ecuador in this crop. Further work is necessary for more refined categorisation of the pathogen in terms of biochemical profile or nucleotide sequence.
